This is a sad love story about a young man and woman who once met at a party. The girl was quite beautiful, as every man wanted her. The man was an average guy that no one really paid much attention too. After the party was over he got up the courage to invite her for a cup of coffee. She accepted his invitation and together they went and sat down in a small coffee shop. He was very nervous and did not say much, which made her feel a little uncomfortable when the young man finally spoke and ask the waiter to bring him some salt. He then took the salt and poured some into his coffee.
Many people began to stare at what the young man had done. His face began to turn red, but he continued to pour the salt into his cup of coffee. The young woman then asked him why did you put salt in your coffee. He then went on to tell her that when he was a young boy he lived near the ocean and how he loved playing in the salty water. So each time he has coffee he puts salt in it and it reminds him of his childhood days of living near the ocean and how much he missed his home town and his late parents too.
After listening to his story her eyes began to fill with tears. She was so touched by his story that seemed to come deep from inside his heart. She though a man who can tell about his feelings of being home sick and his inner feelings about his late parents has the kind of compassion that she just admired very much.
As time went on they began to date and she discovered just how kind-hearted, warm, caring, and what a loving person he was. She loved his sweet love words and love phrases that he always said to her. She thought how she almost missed out on getting together with him if it was not for the salty coffee. This story then became like so many other stories. They would go on to marry and would live happily for many years to come. Every time she made him a cup of coffee she would put salt into it as she knew he would always want it that way.
Thirty years went on by and he passed away and he left her a letter that she would read. It said, My dearest wife, I hope you will forgive me as I once told you a lie. It was the only lie I ever told you. Do you recall the very first time we had met. I was quite nervous with you sitting with me at the coffee shop. I wanted some sugar but instead I said salt. It was a mistake and also it was hard for me to admit it, so I just went along with it and let you think I really wanted salt instead of sugar, I was too embarrassed to tell you that part. And now that I am dying I need to tell you about this sad romantic story. I really did not like salt in my coffee, but I had salt in my coffee ever since we had met and I always knew I would never have any regrets or feel sorry for what I had done. Having you as my wife gave me the greatest happiness I had ever experienced in my whole life.
If I was able to live even a little longer I would still use salt in my coffee a second time and I would continue to love you as my wife even if I had to live a life again with the lie of drinking coffee with salt added to it. Tears filled up in her eyes as she thought some day somewhere someone may ask her just what does coffee taste like with salt added into it. She knew just what she would say. She would simply reply, it is so sweet.
That pleasure which is at once the most pure, the most elevating and the most intense, is derived, I maintain, from the contemplation of the beautiful.

syukur
Alhamdulillahh...
aku dapat lg menaip...
dapat lagi tersenyum....
senyuman yang menyembunyikan ketakutan...
bagaimana rasanya apabila nyawa dan jasad dipisahkan...
mati itu benar..
hanya soal di mana dan bilaa...
bagaimana ajal kita nanti...
pernah suatu ketika...
terdetik di hati...
bagaimana tiba-tiba aku mati dalam keadaan jahil..
berderau darah...
Ya Allah.....
dahsyatnya perasaan itu..
pada suatu hari...
aku diuji oleh Allah...
tiba-tiba aku merasakan seperti esok aku akan mati...
perasaan yang begitu kuat...
sehinggakan aku terbayang-bayang tubuh aku dikhafankan..
terasa seperti sangat nyata bayangan tersebut...
tiba-tiba azan asar berkumandang...
aku tersentak...
aku mengucap panjang....
aku tak sedar langsung air mata aku menitis..
laju...
tak pernah aku menangis sebegitu..
aku menapak menuju ke masjid..
selesai menunaikan solat...
aku termenung di luar masjid...
teringat keluarga...
rakan-rakan...
hati sebak...
teringatkan arwah rakan-rakan...
ahli keluarga yang telah pergi..
timbul persoalan..
adakah aku bakal menyertai mereka di alam barzakh?
yaa..
setiap langkah aku menapak...
buat pertama kali dalam hidup..
aku betul-betul bersyukur...
kepada rakan-rakan dan keluarga...
aku sayang kamu semua..
terima kasih kerana menceriakan hidup aku..
yang paling penting..
membentuk siapa diri aku sekarang...
alhamdulillah...

Fishing
Fishing~~~
some people might think this is boring....
throw the bait into the water..
wait for hours..
However..
you should think again...
actually fishing is an adventurous activity to do...
*depend on the location*
In my opinion, it is interesting..
especially when you do it with your friend..
First, you must find a good location to fish..
Make sure to fish in water that actually has fish in it.
If there aren’t any fish, you aren’t going to catch anything.
Many newspapers have local fishing reports that will list locations and tell you what fish, if any, are biting and what they’re biting on.
You can also ask around at angling shops, marinas and camping supply stores in the area.
You can also check by throwing in food scraps and waiting a few minutes.
After that, choose the suitable bait..
Commonly we choose the bait base on the fish that we want..
Actually, it is not appropriate..
Yes we need the suitable bait for the fish we want..
but we also need to identify what do the fish eat in that water..
this will make you to be easy..
to get more information about this,
please click this url..

For me, fishing is all about patient..
It teach us the value of patient...
effort..
sometime, the effort are really paid...
just look at his face..
very satisfied with his catch!!
good luck for you if you want to try fishing..

unicorn in the garden
yup!!
just look at the title..
interesting..
hahhaa...
actually, this is the first short story that I had learn during the foundation..
At first, *when I look at the title* I asked myself...
why I should read this kind of story??
I kept questioning myself...
Once upon a sunny morning a man who sat in a breakfast nook looked up from his scrambled eggs to see a white unicorn with a golden horn quietly cropping the roses in the garden. The man went up to the bedroom where his wife was still asleep and woke her. "There's a unicorn in the garden," he said. "Eating roses." She opened one unfriendly eye and looked at him. "The unicorn is a mythical beast," she said, and turned her back on him. The man walked slowly downstairs and out into the garden. The unicorn was still there; he was now browsing among the tulips. "Here, unicorn," said the man and pulled up a lily and gave it to him. The unicorn ate it gravely. With a high heart, because there was a unicorn in his garden, the man went upstairs and roused his wife a gain. "The unicorn," he said, "ate a lily." His wife sat up in bed and looked at him, coldly. "You are a booby," she said, "and I am going to have you put in a booby-hatch." The man, who never liked the words "booby" and "booby-hatch," and who liked them even less on a shining morning when there was a unicorn in the garden, thought for a moment. "We'll see about that," he said. He walked over to the door. "He has a golden horn in the middle of his forehead," he told her. Then he went back to the garden to watch the unicorn; but the unicorn had gone away. The man sat among the roses and went to sleep.

actually, this is the first short story that I had learn during the foundation..
At first, *when I look at the title* I asked myself...
why I should read this kind of story??
I kept questioning myself...
And as soon as the husband had gone out of the house, the wife got up and dressed as fast as she could. She was very excited and there was a gloat in her eye. She telephoned the police and she telephoned the psychiatrist; she told them to hurry to her house and bring a strait-jacket. When the police and the psychiatrist looked at her with great interest. "My husband," she said, "saw a unicorn this morning." The police looked at the psychiatrist and the psychiatrist looked at the police. "He told me it ate a lily," she said. The psychiatrist looked at the police and the police looked at the psychiatrist. "He told me it had a golden horn in the middle of its forehead," she said. At a solemn signal from the signal from the psychiatrist, the police leaped fro m their chairs and seized the wife. They had a hard time subduing her, for she put up a terrific struggle, but they finally subdued her. Just as they got her into the strait-jacket, the husband came back into the house.
"Did you tell your wife you saw a unicorn?" asked the police. "Of course not," said the husband. "The unicorn is a mythical beast." "That's all I wanted to know," said the psychiatrist. "Take her away. I'm sorry, sir, but your wife is as crazy as a jay bi rd." So they took her away, cursing and screaming, and shut her up in an institution. The husband lived happily ever after.
so after I had read it..
not bad...
that with a wide grin a read again...
this is the first time I'm enjoy my reading..
this story was written by James Thurber....
the literary devices are also easy to identify..
for a beginner, I suggest you to read this...
but don't forget to study the literary devices..
good luck:p
apa itu korban?
Ibadat korban merupakan suatu ibadat yang
sangat digalakkan di dalam Islam,
khususnya bagi mereka yang
berkemampuan dari segi kewangan. Ibadat
korban telah disyariatkan oleh Allah pada
tahun kedua Hijrah.
Firman Allah S.W.T:
“Sesungguhnya kami (Allah) telah
memberi engkau (wahai Muhamad)
kebaikan yang banyak. Maka
Sembahyanglah* engkau kerana Tuhanmu
dan sembelihlah (korbanmu)”.
(Surah Al-Kautsar Ayat 1-2).
* Sembahyang yang dimaksudkan di dalam ayat di
atas ialah sembahyang sunat hari raya korban ( Aidil
Adha).
Hukum
Hukumnya Sunat Muakkad(dituntut).
Adapun bagi mereka yang bernazar,
hukumnya wajib. Bagi mereka yang
berkemampuan Makruh meninggalkan
amalan ini.
Wajib hukumnya kepada Rasulullah
berdasarkan hadis: “Diwajibkan ke atas ku
melaksanakan ibadat korban namun ia
merupakan satu amalan sunat bagi kamu”.
(Riwayat Imam Tirmizi)
Maksud Korban:-
Menyembelih binatang ternakan yang
terdiri daripada unta, lembu, kambing dan
kibas yang sampai umur* pada hari raya
korban (Aidil Adha) iaitu pada 10 Zulhijjah
selepas sembahyang sehingga gelincir
matahari hari terakhir tasyrik iaitu 13
Zulhijjah dengan tujuan mendekatkan diri
kepada Allah.
*Umur binatang yang boleh dikorbankan:-
Unta 5 thn ke atas – 7 bahagian.
Lembu, kerbau 2 thn ke atas – 7
bahagian.
Kambing 2 thn ke atas- 1 bahagian.
Biri-biri, kibas 1 ½ thn- 1 bahagian.
٭ Ditegah berkorban dengan binatang yang
cacat, berpenyakit, patah anggotanya dan
terlalu kurus.
Sunat-sunat ketika menyembelih binatang
korban:-
1. Membaca Basmalah
2. Selawat ke atas nabi
3. Menghadap kiblat
4. Bertakbir
5. Berdoa supaya diterima ibadah
korban itu.
Nota:
a) Daging korban yang diniat nazar oleh
orang yang bernazar, hendaklah di
sedekahkan semuanya.
b) 1/3 daripada daging korban sunat boleh
dimakan oleh mereka yang berkorban dan
selebihnya disedekahkan kepada fakir
miskin, boleh juga disedekahkan kepada
orang kaya mengikut mazhab Syafie..
Mereka yang melakukan ibadat korban
disunatkan menyaksikan penyembelihan
binatang korban tersebut seperti mana sabda
Rasulullah maksudnya:
“Wahai Fatimah! Berdirilah di sisi korban
mu dan saksikanlah, sesungguhnya titisan
darahnya yang pertama itu pengampun bagi
mu atas dosa-dosa yang telah lalu”.
(Riwayat Bazzar dan Ibnu Hibban).
# Menyaksikan sendiri perlaksanaan korban
tidak termasuk dalam syarat-syarat ibadat
korban.
# Imam Khatib Syarbini di dalam kitabnya
Mughni Al-Muhtaj menyatakan, disunatkan
"eh... cukup x lembu 5 ekor neh?? macam mana klu x ckup.. aku dah la org paling kaya kt kampung neh... semua orang tau aku banyak duet... klu x ckup malu la kat orang... jatuh air muka aku sebagai orang kaya kt sini..."
persoalannya..

Blood has been harder to dam back than water.
Just when we think we have it impounded safe
Behind new barrier walls (and let it chafe!),
It breaks away in some new kind of slaughter.
We choose to say it is let loose by the devil;
But power of blood itself releases blood.
It goes by might of being such a flood
Held high at so unnatural a level.
It will have outlet, brave and not so brave.
weapons of war and implements of peace
Are but the points at which it finds release.
And now it is once more the tidal wave
That when it has swept by leaves summits stained.
Oh, blood will out. It cannot be contained.
this is the most suitable poem to describe what is happening now...
flood...
the most beautiful sight...
yet the most painful experience to lean on...
it was five years ago...
this ugly monster struck and destroy everything in his path...
including human nest....
jitra...
such wonderful town...
blown up in minutes..
now...
this ugly monster just woke up...
more stronger...
more violent..
this mother dont give any opportunity at all...
she rules us...
after we take over this earth from her...
i wonder if this a boon or bane..
